Discussions focused on several areas of shared interest, including the blue economy, renewable energy, healthcare innovation, emerging technologies and academic cooperation. Particular attention was given to ocean preservation and the sustainable use of marine resources, reflecting Prince Albert II’s long-standing commitment to environmental protection through the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and its ReOcean initiative.
Earlier in the day, Minister Goyal and his delegation met with Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, Minister of Finance and Economy Frédéric Genta Cottalorda, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Isabelle Berro-Amadeï. Monaco’s Ambassador to India, Didier Gamerdinger, also attended the meetings.
The visit provided an opportunity for Monaco’s authorities to present the Principality’s economic model, innovation ecosystem and international outlook, while reaffirming the strength of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Academic collaboration was also on the agenda, with discussions highlighting potential exchanges involving the International University of Monaco and other educational institutions. The visit underlined a shared ambition to expand cooperation in areas that combine economic development, technological innovation and sustainable growth, further strengthening relations between Monaco and one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.
