Bucharest, June 12 (SANA) Syria’s charge d’affaires in Romania, Anas al-Badawi, met with Tiberiu Giurea, general commissioner of Romania’s General Inspectorate for Immigration, to discuss the situation of the Syrian community in Romania and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, the Syrian embassy said Friday.
The meeting addressed the conditions of the Syrian community in Romania and key challenges related to official documents, the embassy said on X. Both sides affirmed the importance of continued communication and constructive cooperation to serve the interests of Syrian citizens in Romania.
The meeting was part of ongoing engagement between the Syrian embassy and relevant Romanian authorities to follow up on affairs of the Syrian community.
