The Tirana police have criminally prosecuted 19 citizens who, according to them, organized and incited the citizens to block the road axis in the direction of the “Mother Teresa” International Airport on Sunday at dinner.
“Following the procedural actions carried out after the rally held on 14.06.2026, the specialists of the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector carried out investigative and procedural actions for the identification and criminal proceedings of the organizers and persons responsible for blocking the road towards “Mother Teresa” International Airport.
At the end of the investigative actions, the criminal proceedings have started in free status for the following citizens: GP, 36 years old; A. Ll., 29 years old; A. Ll., 27 years old; IF, 32 years old; EH, 33 years old; AK, 46 years old; F. Rr., 28 years old; VD, 29 years old; OB, 21 years old; DL, 57 years old; LN, 20 years old; AK, 29 years old; AM, 23 years old; TM, 24 years old; KZ, 22 years old; BP, 34 years old; G. N., 39 years old; LK, 33 years old; IM, 24 years old, for the criminal offenses “Obstructing the circulation of means of transport”, “Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings” and “Disturbance of public order and peace”.
Also, two vehicles were seized.
From the investigative actions, it results that on 14.06.2026, around 18:00, the development of a rally was announced in “Skënderbej” square and then in front of the Prime Minister’s building, in Tirana. The rally was scheduled to take place from 18:00 to 22:00.
During its development, according to the investigative actions carried out, leaders and organizers of the gathering called for the continuation of the movement of participants from the area in front of the Prime Minister’s Office in the direction of the “Mother Teresa” International Airport, in Rinas, blocking the circulation of vehicles and the movement of citizens on this road axis. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office, for further actions”. says the police announcement.
