Occupied Jerusalem, June 12 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces carried out raids across the West Bank on Friday, detaining several Palestinians, while settlers intensified attacks and violations in multiple areas.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces arrested a young man from the town of al-Yamoun, west of Jenin, after raiding and searching his home. Another man was detained from Jenin refugee camp after troops raided his residence near the Arab American University, while a third was arrested in Nablus.
Israeli forces also raided the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, and the villages of Beit Ta’mir and al-Asakra to the east.
Security sources said an Israeli undercover unit entered Sufyan Street in Nablus, followed by military vehicles that raided a hotel, seized surveillance camera recordings, and detained a Palestinian from the 1948 territories.
Meanwhile, settlers entered the Mleihat Bedouin community east of the village of al-Taybeh near Ramallah, carrying out what residents described as provocative activities near Palestinian homes. Other settlers entered the Solomon’s Pools tourist area between al-Khader and Artas, south of Bethlehem, gathering near the site’s three historic pools and performing provocative religious rituals.
Groups of settlers also cut and damaged water pipelines supplying the Arara al-Mahtoush and al-Tibna communities in the Khan al-Ahmar area east of occupied Jerusalem.
The Al-Baidar human rights organization said the targeting of water networks worsens residents’ hardship and directly affects their basic daily needs, particularly as Bedouin communities rely on the pipelines as a primary water source.
In Ramallah, dozens of settlers entered the al-Qatrawani shrine in the town of Attara, north of the city, cut fencing surrounding the site, and moved through the area.
In Salfit, settlers attacked Palestinian homes and vehicles in the village of Yasuf, east of the city, smashing windows with stones before retreating to a nearby settlement outpost built on village land.
Settler attacks have intensified in recent months across the West Bank, particularly in the Solomon’s Pools area, amid repeated incidents involving both settlers and Israeli forces, according to Palestinian sources.
