Martyr Al-Hafiz, June 14, 2026 (Am) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, received today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, the delegation of Sahrawi pilgrims following their return from the Holy Land after performing the rituals of the Hajj, in a meeting devoted to reviewing the circumstances of the delegation’s performance of its religious duty.
During the meeting, the head of the Hajj delegation, member of the National Secretariat and Minister of Public Health, Mr. Edda Ibrahim Ahmeem, gave a comprehensive briefing on the progress of the Sahrawi pilgrims’ delegation, reviewing the various stages of the journey and the efforts made to ensure the performance of the rituals in the best possible conditions.
For his part, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Indigenous Education, Mr. Syed Ahmed Alayat, praised the efforts that accompanied the organization of the mission, praising the discipline and cooperation that distinguished the performance of the pilgrims, and the role played by the various concerned authorities to serve the guests of God.
Members of the Sahrawi pilgrims delegation expressed their satisfaction with the conditions provided by the Sahrawi state, appreciating the care and facilities that enabled them to perform this religious duty in an atmosphere of reassurance and comfort.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic stressed that performing the Hajj does not only represent a great religious ritual, but also bears the responsibility of representing the message of the Sahrawi people and their just cause, considering the pilgrims as ambassadors of the values of the Sahrawi community and its principles of solidarity, steadfastness, and clinging to freedom and independence.
Mr. Ibrahim Ghali reiterated the importance of continuing to promote the values of faith and national cohesion, praising the spirit displayed by the mission members, and wishing them acceptance and good reward.
The meeting concluded with a prayer that God would accept the pilgrims’ rituals and return this occasion to the Sahrawi people with goodness and blessings and the fulfillment of their national aspirations. (Was)
