PARAMARIBO — The Traffic Enforcement Team West and the Bikers Unit Nickerie seized mopeds during surveillance at separate times in the vicinity of a Mulo school on LH Wixstraat on Thursday. The drivers were guilty of traffic violations such as boosting the engine, carburetor and exhaust pipes and were reported.
The seized mopeds were then transferred to the Nieuw Nickerie police station for re-inspection. The police emphasize that they will take strict action against traffic offenders who are guilty of driving with souped-up engines and modified exhaust pipes.
