“The DNP-DPS coalition may act as a political paradox, but it connects them more than citizens see at first glance. Both parties fundamentally share the same attitude towards European integration,” he says.
As he adds, DNP announces this openly, while DPS has shown it for years through the absence of reforms, missed opportunities and stagnation on Montenegro’s European path.
“Today, when EU membership has become a realistic and inevitable goal of the state, we are witnessing their political rapprochement in the capital. In the end, the question remains: is this a coalition of different ideologies or an alliance of those for whom European Montenegro has never been a true priority? Unified DPS or Unified Russia,” he asked.
