Search Deputy Prime Minister WJordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi, during two separate phone calls with the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Dr. Fuad Hussein, discussed developments in the situation in the region and the efforts made to stop the escalation and restore security and stability.
He confirmed Al-Safadi and his Saudi and Iraqi counterparts The importance of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts to reach solutions that contribute to containing the current tensions and achieving permanent security and stability in the region according to foundations that respect international law and the principles of good neighborliness.
Al-Safadi and Prince Faisal bin Farhan also condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted Bahrain and Kuwait, stressing that they represent a violation of the sovereignty of the two countries and undermine efforts to achieve regional calm.
The two calls also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation between Jordan and both Saudi Arabia and Iraq in various fields, while Al-Safadi congratulated his Iraqi counterpart on the occasion of his reappointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new Iraqi government.
