He Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) with its ally the Democratic Unity of Coahuila (UDC) would have a majority in Congress based on the final data of the Preliminary Results Program (PREP) where they swept the 16 deputies with a relative majority having won 55% of the votes.
Subject to the official count next Wednesday that give rise to the distribution of seats by proportional representation, the PRI would be left with 15 seats, the UDC with a seat of relative majority, plus another with proportional representation by obtaining 4% of the votes separately, which would represent 17 seats for the alliance.
According to estimates, Morena would stay with 5 multi-member deputies by obtaining 22.5% of the votes, while its ally the Labor Party would retain one seat by obtaining 3.6 percent.
On the other hand, the New Ideas Party recently created, obtained 5.8% for what it could reach two multi-member councils.
The big loser in the contest is the National Action Partywho obtained just 2.1 percent of the votes and will not have any representation in Congresswhen in the current legislature it occupies 5 seats. The PRDwhich also currently occupies two placeswill not have any representation in the next Congress.
It will be next Wednesday when the district count is done by the Electoral Institute of Coahuila (INE), once the election is validated, the distribution of the multi-member councils will begin.
