The Democratic People’s Party (DNP) announced that the Europe Now Movement (PES) confirmed that the agreement was never their intention, and that with the blackmail they aimed to introduce Podgorica into forced administration.
The DNP also said that the mayor Saša Mujović, as a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), was elected dean, and that the DPS currently has its own mayor.
They said this in response to this morning’s PES announcement.
“The Democratic People’s Party (DNP) does not want to honor the obligations from the agreement they signed, but they do not mind asking for votes for the seat of the President of the Capital City Assembly,” PES announced this morning.
“The Democratic People’s Party is most heartily grateful to their colleagues from PES because they confirmed in their statement that the agreement was never their intention and that with conditions and blackmail to support Saša Mujović, they had the sole goal of introducing Podgorica into compulsory administration. Only those who have always had this cooperation with the DNP can credit DNP with that cooperation. Thus, Saša Mujović directly from the DPS as Duško Marković’s staff was first elected as dean, then got an apartment, and then became mayor. So DPS currently has its mayor, albeit a former one, and that’s just in case. And let’s not talk about the latest scandal and the appointment of Vesna Radulović, a DPS member from the bottom of the bucket, as the president of FC “Buducnost”, which is how this football institution has officially hit rock bottom,” the DNP statement said.
They also asked whether it is necessary to remind the councilor of PES, Dejan Rabrenović in Budva, who together with DPS and Nikola Jovanović makes up the majority of councilors in that city.
“The DNP has never been in a formal or informal coalition with the DPS, just as we have not been in a coalition with the PES and Saša Mujović since the end of January, who turned the entire city into a hostage because of his position. Our offer was open, presented to the public and former coalition partners, we do not want forced administration in Podgorica, and we are not the only ones from the former coalition who have such an attitude. And the fact that they in the PES were afraid for their functions is not ours at all problem, because the DNP has no obligations towards anyone, except for the citizens who gave us support. That’s why we call on them to deny us and support Srđan Perić, who was previously offered a coalition. It won’t be that Perić is unacceptable because we support him, and he was acceptable as a subject who should have thrown us out of power in Podgorica,” the statement said.
Colleagues from PES, as they claim, are advised in good faith to renounce Saša Mujović.
“… Because his personal burden, frustrations and animosity that he does not hide towards everyone who does not agree with him, will lead this party to the political landfill where it will not be able to be sold even as scrap metal”, the DNP statement concludes
