Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam expressed his thanks to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his decision to lift the ban on Lebanese exports.
Salam wrote on his account on the “X” platform: “In the name of the Lebanese state and in my personal name, I extend my highest thanks and appreciation to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the generous decision to lift the ban on Lebanese exports, which reflects the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that bring together our two brotherly countries.”
He added: “This decision embodies the Kingdom’s confidence in Lebanon and the joint keenness to strengthen economic and trade cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples. It also constitutes an important step that will support the Lebanese economy and open new horizons for Lebanese producers and exporters, thus contributing to enhancing opportunities for growth and stability in Lebanon.”
He announced his country’s aspiration to continue coordination with the Kingdom, saying: “The Lebanese state looks forward to continuing work and coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to consolidate the bonds of cooperation and partnership in various fields, in a way that achieves good and prosperity for the two brotherly countries.”
The Lebanese Prime Minister also expressed his thanks to Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan for his diligent follow-up of this file in order to bring it to its happy conclusion.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah made a phone call today with Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, during which he conveyed the directive of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman to resume Lebanese exports to the Kingdom, based on the request of Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and in accordance with the positive steps taken by the Lebanese government in rebuilding state institutions, what the specialized teams have accomplished over the past year, and the cooperation shown by the Lebanese side with them and the provision of the required pledges.
During the call, the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s support for Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty over its entire territory and the well-being of its brotherly people, and its confidence in the brothers in Lebanon taking all necessary measures to ensure that Lebanon does not use a platform to harm its brothers.

The Foreign Minister confirmed during the call the Kingdom’s support for the stability of Lebanon and its autonomy over all its territories and the welfare of its brotherly people, and its trust that the brothers in Lebanon will take all necessary measures to ensure that Lebanon is not used as a platform to harm its brothers.
