The cover of the magazine Charlie Hebdo which was released today, Wednesday, has again provoked reactions in France, amid a wave of protests that has broken out across the country after the murder of 11-year-old Liana.
The cover features a man wearing her jersey National of France holding a cup in the form of a child with open legs. The sketch is accompanied by the phrase: “France forward for the pedophilia world cup”.
The French government is facing intense pressure after the murder of the 11-year-old. The case has sparked outrage and highlighted the weaknesses of the justice system in handling cases of sexual abuse of minors.

The case of Liana
Liana disappeared on May 29 from the city of Florence after leaving her school.
As’s prosecution revealed that the main suspect in her murder had already been charged with rape of a minor, as part of an investigation that had begun after a complaint in August 2025. However, he had never been called to testify until his arrest after Liana’s disappearance.
On June 5, he was formally placed under judicial investigation on charges of abduction and homicide.
