The Permanent Attention Court of the National District ordered the release of the Chinese businessman Po Xieowner of the Mudan store, who is accused of physical assault and gender violence.
Magistrate Rigoberto Sena made the decision after imposing the payment of a financial guarantee of 400 thousand pesos through an insurance company, impediment to leaving the country and periodic presentation to the authorities.

The victim of the attack was identified as Tania Iris Naomi Valdez Sánchezwho was allegedly attacked by Xie in different parts of the body.

This is not the first time that the owner of the Mudan store has faced Dominican justice. Last year, Po Xie was involved in an altercation with members of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) while they carried out an inspection in their commercial establishment.
On that occasion, the businessman was captured by intelligence units of the DGM while he was traveling through the Villa Consuelo sector. During that capture, Xie did not resist and was taken to the institution’s facilities. for the corresponding biometric registration, before being delivered to the Public Ministry.
