Leo and blond meet in René Dick’s Cats
Beirut – Ghofran Haddad
Director and playwright Jawad Al-Assadi is preparing for rehearsals for a play he wrote and directed titled “René Dick’s Cats,” starring Lebanese artist Nidal Al-Ashqar, star Carole Abboud, and others. Al-Asadi told (Al-Zaman) that “the work training was greatly delayed due to the war conditions that Lebanon went through and is going through, so I had to travel to Cairo, but I am optimistic that the specter of war will disappear soon,” and he added, “The rehearsals will take place and the work will be presented at the Lebanese National Theater in Beirut.” It is noteworthy that Al-Asadi presented his last theatrical work in Baghdad with a distinctive artistic work titled “Circus” starring an elite group of Iraqi art stars such as Shatha Salem, Ahmed Al-Sharji and others, and he received a beautiful presence among the Iraqi and Arab audiences.
