    Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sirafi, Minister of Tourism, confirmed that the tourism infrastructure that characterizes the Kingdom of Bahrain and the various services and hospitality experiences provided by hotels and resorts contribute to enhancing the Kingdom’s attractiveness and attracting more visitors looking for quality hospitality experiences and diverse accommodation options. The diversity of hotel options also contributes to meeting the aspirations of different segments of visitors, and supports the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a tourist destination capable of providing accommodation experiences that meet various needs and aspirations.

    This came during the meeting I held with representatives of the hotel sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of Sarah Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, as part of periodic meetings aimed at strengthening the partnership with the hotel sector and following up on preparations for the upcoming tourism seasons and events.

    The Minister of Tourism indicated that the diversity of hotel options supports the competitiveness of the Bahraini tourism sector, and contributes to providing accommodation experiences that meet the aspirations of visitors with their various interests, and that partnership with the hotel sector is an essential pillar in supporting tourism growth and achieving the goals of the tourism sector strategy for the years 2022-2026, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and integration between the various stakeholders to provide an integrated tourism experience that reflects the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a preferred destination for visiting and staying. During the meeting, developments in the tourism sector and mechanisms for expanding joint cooperation were discussed in a way that contributes to enhancing the visitors’ experience and consolidating the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the map of regional and international tourism. The “And Here is to You” campaign and the summer promotional campaign aimed at attracting brothers from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries were also reviewed, in addition to the most prominent events and programs listed on the tourism calendar during the coming period. The meeting also discussed a number of proposals that aim to develop joint tourism packages during the summer season, in partnership between hotels and various stakeholders in the tourism sector, which contributes to providing integrated offers that meet the aspirations of the Gulf market and enhance the experience of visitors, through coordination with commercial complexes, event organizing companies and tourism institutions to launch qualitative offers that combine accommodation, recreational activities, shopping and various tourist experiences, in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a preferred tourist destination for Gulf families, and keeps pace with the aspirations of visitors during the summer period.
