The Tripoli Security Directorate has categorically denied reports circulating on some social media pages claiming that a Libyan doctor was killed by a migrant, stressing that the information being shared is entirely false and has no basis in reality.
The directorate stated that none of its affiliated police stations or departments had received any reports, complaints, or official records related to the alleged incident, adding that no such case has been registered within its area of jurisdiction.
It called on media outlets and social media users to verify information and rely on official sources, warning against the spread of rumors and unverified reports that could cause public concern and confusion.
The directorate further reaffirmed that it will take the necessary legal measures against those who disseminate misleading information that threatens public security or contributes to spreading panic, reiterating its commitment to maintaining security and stability in the capital.
