The Qatar International Court participated as part of the London International Dispute Resolution Week 2026, which is an important platform for dialogue on the most prominent issues that shape the future of international dispute settlement.
Lord Thomas, President of the Qatar International Court, participated, as part of the main program of the conference, which was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Center in the British capital, London, in a discussion session entitled: “The credibility of artificial intelligence, and the future of evidence: trust in an artificial world.”
The discussions shed light on how to verify the authenticity of the evidence provided and its credibility at a time when the legal field is witnessing an accelerated pace in the use of artificial intelligence tools, and the opportunities and challenges it poses that require legislators to find regulatory frameworks for them.
Several high-level events were held during the conference, in which the President of the Court participated, including a dinner hosted by the Moncton Chambers and Michelman Robinson under the title: “Arbitration as a Guardian of the Rule of Law in an Unstable World.”
Lord Thomas said: “London International Dispute Resolution Week continues to consolidate its position as an important platform for dialogue on the most prominent issues that shape the future of international dispute settlement. As technology continues to fundamentally transform how evidence is created, presented and evaluated, the important role played by courts and dispute resolution centers in maintaining trust, justice and the rule of law is highlighted.”
He added: “We at the Qatar International Court are pleased to participate in these gatherings and to have a valuable contribution in the midst of these discussions, which we hope will have effective outcomes that work to develop the legal landscape in general and the field of dispute settlement in particular.” The Court’s participation in the activities of the London International Dispute Resolution Week 2026 comes from its belief in the importance of exchanging legal and judicial expertise and knowledge within international forums, and to continue its endeavor to support means of settling disputes of all kinds, and to make them reliable means that contribute to settling disputes quickly and effectively.
