Igor and Stefanija Tudor got married in 2005 in Split and today they are happily and harmoniously married, and the proud parents of three children.
Former soccer player, member of the legendary Vatreni lineup, and today a soccer coach Igor Tudor (48) can boast of one of the most beautiful love stories he writes with his wife Stefanija. The married couple rarely appear in public, so their walk along the Split waterfront surprised many, but also reminded them of their harmonious relationship. They appeared together on the Feast of Corpus Christi, in a good mood, in the company of friends, and with smiles on their faces they attracted a lot of attention from passers-by. For the outing, Stefanija wore a short white dress with a floral pattern over which she wore a white jacket, while Igor was elegant next to her in a dark blue suit.
The former Croatian football national team player is known for successfully keeping his private life out of the spotlight for years, just like his Stefanija. He avoids public and social events, he has no profile on social networks, at least known to us. Before becoming Mrs. Tudor, Stefanija worked as a model and was the first runner-up of Miss Dalmatia. However, instead of living under the lights of the stage, she chose a quieter path and refused to compete in the Miss Croatia pageant. She was in a relationship with Igor for almost five years before they crowned their love with marriage in 2005, after five years of relationship.
At that time, Igor was a football player of the Italian club Juventus, so the interest of journalists in the wedding was quite high, both domestic and foreign. The whole organization took place in secret, but the photographers managed to capture the wedding, which was held in the co-cathedral of St. Peter in Gripe, Split, after which the newlyweds and their guests went by catamaran to the island of Hvar, where they organized a big celebration. On that occasion, Igor showed his romantic side, as befits, and sang the song “Da te mogu pismom zvati” to Stefanija in front of the guests. Today, they are the parents of three children, son Roko (20) and daughters Mija (17) and Eva (18), with whom they settled in Bačvice after numerous moves and living outside Croatia due to his sports career, but he never talked about them in public.
“My family has nothing to do with my career. They are my greatest joy in my free time,” Igor once said for Free Dalmatia.
Igor is currently enjoying a professional break and does not have an official coaching engagement, after finishing his short episode on the bench of the English club Tottenham at the beginning of the year. A rather intense period is behind him. During the past year, he led “his” Juventus, with which he won a place in the Champions League, and then worked briefly in the Premier League. His career in recent years has been marked by great challenges in some of the strongest European championships, which is why his name is still regularly mentioned among candidates for some of the leading coaching positions and he is valued as an exceptional football expert.
