Luxembourg Airport is going to court. Because: Although Luxembourg’s only runway was renovated just a few years ago, Lux Airport has to close it again and again at short notice due to damage to the asphalt surface layer. Now the airport operator is taking action and is suing the seven companies involved. This emerges from Mobility Minister Yuriko Backes’ response to a parliamentary question from LSAP MPs Mars Di Bartolomeo and Yves Cruchten on Wednesday.
The lawsuit seeks to establish “that Lux-Airport did not receive the product ordered by the airport operator and the question of the associated liability and corresponding compensation.” The aim of the current proceedings is to create clarity in this matter.
