Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) announces the gradual resumption of activities at its hospital located in Cité Soleil, after three weeks of forced shutdown due to violent armed clashes. The emergency service and care for survivors of sexual violence resumed on June 1, while the clinic and hospitalization should follow if security conditions allow, the organization informs in a note. MSF calls on the parties to the conflict to guarantee the safety of civilians and caregivers, recalling that the hospital remains vital for a population of nearly 300,000 inhabitants deprived of access to essential care.
