The civil guard has arrested two residents a Andorra in the framework of an operation against an organization dedicated to hashish and cocaine trafficking in the province of Barcelona. The arrests took place at the Farga de Moles border, after investigators linked them to ana delivery of drugs detected in Sant Andreu de la Barca.
The two men were intercepted when they were transporting a kilo of hashish and are charged with an alleged crime against public health. His arrest is part of the so-called Ulex operationwhich has been closed with a total of eight arrests, three house searches and the dismantling of two points of sale of narcotic substances.
The investigation dates back to September last year. During a police device organized to coincide with the festivities of Sant Andreu de la Barcathe officers stopped a vehicle that had tried to avoid a checkpoint. Inside the car they found five kilos of hashish, which led to the arrest of the occupants and the start of investigations to identify the rest of the people involved in the network.
The subsequent managements made it possible to reconstruct part of the distribution structure and to detect movements linked to the drug trafficking. Among these there was an operation of greater volume that had as recipients the two residents of the Principalitylater located by the researchers.
The final phase of the operation took place on May 13 with searches in Sant Andreu de la Barca and Manresa. They intervened in one of the homes, attributed to the alleged head of the organization 1.9 kilos of hashish, 1.68 kilos of cocaine, more than 8,000 euros in cashmobile phones and equipment commonly used to handle and prepare the drug for distribution.
In total, the civil guard has confiscated close to eight kilos of hashish and almost 1.7 kilos of cocaine.
