The Private Foundation Our Lady of Meritxell has won the UNICEF Award Andorra 2025 with the project “3D Printing Service: innovation applied to personalized technical supports for children”. The award was presented yesterday to the Carlemany Island cinemasas part of the seventh edition of the awards, which they gathered more than 100 people.
The awarded initiative applies the digital manufacturing to the design and production of technical supports adapted to the needs of each child, with the aim of facilitating activities such as feeding, writing or handling school materials. The award was collected by Guillem Cabanesrepresenting the entity.
In this edition, nine nominations were submitted from schools, social entities, cultural institutions and organizations in the country. The three finalist projects were “Solidarity Party: Buy Vaccines”, of the Andorran School of Escaldes-Engordany; “Rubbing with RNA”of the Youth Service of Municipality of Andorra la Vella; and the winning project of the Our Lady of Meritxell Private Foundation.
The UNICEF Andorra Awards, of a biennial nature, they recognize projects and actions that contribute to the defense and promotion of children’s rights in the Principality. The awards pay tribute to Manela Mora, founder of the National Committee of Andorra for UNICEF and key figure in the defense of children’s rights in the country.
