IPD Marudi personnel in a photocall after the thanksgiving mass.
MIRI (April 17): The Marudi District Police Headquarters (IPD Marudi) held a thanksgiving mass today in conjunction with the 219th Police Day celebration at the Chapel of Epiphany in Marudi.
The mass was led by Good Shepherd Church, Lutong parish priest Reverend Father Pilu Gumba and attended by more than 70 participants, including senior and junior police officers, members of the Police Family Association (Perkep) Marudi, family members, and members of the local community.
Also present was Marudi district Criminal Investigation Department chief ASP George Shua Apau Pana, who is also chairman of the IPD Marudi Spiritual and Recreation Club.
The programme was held to offer prayers of thanksgiving and seek blessings for the well-being, safety and protection of Royal Malaysia Police personnel, particularly those serving at IPD Marudi, in carrying out their duties to maintain public order and national security.
The event concluded in a respectful and harmonious atmosphere, with the presentation of souvenirs and contributions to the church as a token of appreciation, followed by a group photo session and a communal meal.
