Two men were killed and three others injured in a shooting incident in Malick on Friday afternoon.
Residents of Seventh Avenue heard a series of explosions shortly after 1 p.m.
They discovered five men lying on the ground near a pink house along the roadway.
Two of the men suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The remaining three men also sustained gunshot injuries.
Police officers and emergency medical personnel were summoned to the scene, and all five victims were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for treatment.
However, two of the men later succumbed to their injuries while undergoing medical treatment.
Police did not immediately release the identities of the deceased, and investigators are still working to determine a motive for the shooting.
Officers from the Northern Division and homicide investigators visited the scene and launched inquiries into the incident.
