The police in Southland have the worst news of an arrest in a special forces operation in Hveragerði yesterday.
“No, there’s nothing to be had, unfortunately,” said Deputy Warden Einar Sigurjónsson when mbl.is spoke to him this morning.
He added that probably nothing would be released by the police on the matter, “at least not for now”, said the assistant warden, and did not say how that would be.
In a video that mbl.is received from the scene, several special forces officers can be seen ordering a woman in a car to get out of it. The special forces are also seen searching the trunk of the vehicle before apparently arresting the woman.
The police did not want to reveal how many people were arrested or whether weapons were seized.
