The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the community, Sofiane Chaib, supervised the launch of a new cultural space with multiple activities, at the headquarters of the Consulate General of Algeria in London.
A Foreign Ministry statement said today that the Secretary of State inaugurated the space on the sidelines of his visit to the headquarters of the Consulate General of Algeria in London, as part of “efforts aimed at strengthening the cultural presence of Algeria in the United Kingdom and introducing the national civilizational and cultural heritage.”
In this context, the Secretary of State confirmed that the opening of this cultural space comes in response to the urgent requests in the cultural field of our community residing in this country, explaining that this step constitutes a first stage within the path aimed at completing the Algerian Cultural Center project in London, which is being implemented.
On this occasion, Shayeb issued “a set of instructions aimed at improving consular performance, simplifying administrative procedures, and strengthening mechanisms for handling citizens’ concerns, in a way that responds to the aspirations of members of the national community abroad and embodies the special care that the country’s higher authorities give to our children residing abroad.”
As part of his continuation of his working visit to the United Kingdom, the Secretary of State conducted an inspection visit to the headquarters of the Consulate General, in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom and the Consul General of Algeria in London.
This visit, according to the statement, allowed us to review the progress of the various consular services and see the conditions for receiving members of the national community and the level of care for their concerns, in addition to following up on the efforts made by the consular staff to improve the quality of services provided.
The Secretary of State inspected the various consular structures and facilities, and was briefed on the approved work mechanisms and the measures taken to modernize the consular facility in the context of bringing the administration closer to the citizen. On this occasion,
