After the investigation of the plane crash near Medulin was completed, the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia announced the case. The DORH reported that after the tragedy, a series of investigative and forensic procedures were initiated in order to shed light on all the circumstances of the accident.

“On the occasion of the plane crash of June 4, 2026, in the area of the Municipality of Medulin, in which four Austrian citizens were killed when the plane hit the ground (1978, 1968, 1986 and 1961), an investigation was conducted by the police officers of the Istrian Police Department with the participation of investigators from the Agency for the Investigation of Accidents in Air, Maritime and Railway Transport and the duty deputy of the county state attorney. in the County State Attorney’s Office in Pula-Pola, and an examination and autopsy of the bodies of the deceased persons was ordered.
