US President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin leader Volodymyr Putin now have to “figure it out for themselves” regarding the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Details: Trump was asked if he wanted, after Zelensky offered Putin a one-on-one meeting, that they would first have a conversation without the U.S. being involved.

“I’m not against it. That is, let them figure it out themselves. It was I who brought them to this situation, and I think everything will work out,” the American president replied.
He also expressed confidence that now “the moment is approaching when the issue between Russia and Ukraine must be resolved.”
“This is a war that should never have happened. It would never have happened if I were president. But I think everything will work out,” Trump added.
The day before, Zelensky wrote a letter to Putin in which he stated that Ukraine-Russia negotiations are pending it is necessary to involve Europe and the USAand that the US can monitor the ceasefire.
Trump supported the possibility of holding bilateral meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.
And the ruler of the Kremlin said that he looked through Zelenskyi’s open letter and “does not see the point in holding a meeting”.
