Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan M. Silapov and Chairperson of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan O. Berdyliyeva took part in the 114th session of the International Labor Conference in Geneva.
During the session, which focused on the use of artificial intelligence to ensure decent work, M. Silapov emphasized that digitalization of the economy is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s state policy. The country advocates a human-centered approach to the use of artificial intelligence, where technological progress contributes to the development of professional skills, increased productivity, and improved social well-being. The speaker confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further develop cooperation with the International Labor Organization through ongoing joint initiatives.

In her speech, O. Berdyliyeva noted the importance of Turkmenistan’s interaction with the International Labour Organization and the Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV) in matters of improving labor relations, developing social partnership, and strengthening the protection of workers’ rights.
Particular attention was paid to joint projects aimed at improving the qualifications of trade union personnel, promoting international labor standards, developing youth employment, ensuring gender equality and labor safety.
It was emphasized that Turkmenistan’s trade unions view social dialogue as an important mechanism for ensuring social stability and sustainable development, and intend to further expand cooperation with international partners in the interests of workers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
