A 68-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in Iasi, and the investigators opened a criminal case for murder. According to sources close to the investigation, the victim would have been stabbed, and the main suspect is a man known in the area with mental problems, who would have spent the night in the house after committing the crime.
“On May 25, around 9:40 a.m., Iași Police Station No. 1 was notified, by calling 112, about the fact that a woman was found dead in a building, in the municipality of Iași,” reports IPJ Iasi.
The police confirmed the reports and identified the lifeless body of the woman.
“In the case, at the level of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Iași Court, a criminal file was drawn up regarding the commission of the crime of murder, and the investigations are being continued by the police from the Criminal Investigation Service, under the coordination of the criminal prosecutor”, the IPJ Iași representatives also sent.
Observer Atena 1 shows that the woman had two stab wounds and that the main suspect is a man known in the area with mental problems. Neighbors say, however, that he was “hardworking and decent” and that nothing foreshadowed such a tragedy.
The woman would have been KILLEDsince Saturday, and the suspect spent the night with the lifeless body in the house. Moreover, the man would have been seen drinking beer at a store near the block on Saturday evening, and would have gone out for coffee on Sunday morning, while the victim was dead in the home.
Investigators are continuing their investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the crime.
