A fire broke out in the Gripe sports complex in Split this morning. Split firefighters received a report about the fire shortly before eight o’clock, which was followed by an emergency intervention on the roof of the small hall.
Numerous fire brigades were immediately sent to the scene, and due to the urgency of the situation and the seriousness of the intervention, the early morning silence in the city was interrupted by the sound of sirens of fire engines that quickly made their way to Grip.
The current extent of the blaze has not yet been officially confirmed, and the fire brigades are doing their best to localize and completely contain the fire element on the building.
