The Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department began implementing the new vehicle license renewal system this evening, Thursday, after its issuance in the Official Gazette and its entry into force.
Under the new system, vehicle owners can renew their expired vehicle license for a full year starting from the renewal date, instead of calculating the license for the remaining period from the expiration date of the previous license. This is a feature implemented for the first time with the aim of facilitating citizens and simplifying procedures related to licensing services.
The implementation of this system comes within the framework of continuous efforts to develop the services provided to citizens, and raise the level of efficiency and flexibility in completing transactions, in line with the approach of modernization, development and improving the quality of government services.
