Economic situation
In Moldova, there are signs of a slowdown in economic growth amid the global energy crisis, but “the situation does not yet raise serious concerns,” stated Finance Minister Andrian Gavrilitsa at a press conference in the government. According to him, “now the authorities are not observing a serious deterioration in macroeconomic indicators, but the burden on the budget is growing.”

In Parliament next week will pass hearings on a new wave of telephone and online fraud. Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ISS, banks and telecom operators will be invited to them. European Commissioner for Enlargement Martha Kos will arrive today to Moldova on a two-day visit. According to Kos, the purpose of the visit is to discuss “progress towards Moldova’s accession to the EU” and new investment opportunities.

More than 2200 Moldovan farmers filed applications for compensation of excise taxes on diesel fuel purchased in the spring of this year. The authorities have allocated 110 million lei for this. The largest number of applications came from Balti – 372.
