This morning, before 10 a.m., citizens noticed an unusual sight near Palanga City Municipality. A water tanker truck with a tank was standing right next to the building, but the front part of it fell into the open hole.
It can be seen that a large hole has appeared in the paved pavement.
News portal Morning after contacting the municipality of Palanga, its representative Tamara Zaiceva assured that it is not yet clear why the sinkhole appeared on the sidewalk.
According to her, the machinery is currently working on the site, and attempts are being made to remove the heavy machinery.

Gediminas Valinevičius, director of Palanga’s communal economy, says that the truck has already been pulled out, and now they will try to patch up the hole that has opened.
“Winter was cold, and the soil in Palanga is not stable. Apparently, the soil was washed away somewhere and a sinkhole opened, the watering truck drove over and fell in. We have already lifted the vehicle, and now we will fix the sinkhole.”
