    The timeline of the murder

According to information, shortly before 02:00 in the morning, EL.AS. received telephone complaints from citizens about female voices calling for help from a 2nd floor apartment of an apartment building located on Vasileos Olgas and Kanaris streets.

Police immediately rushed to the scene, and upon their arrival found other residents of the apartment building outside the apartment.

According to the same information, they repeated that a little earlier female voices were heard, which had now stopped, while no one answered their knocks on the door.

As soon as the police arrived at the apartment, they found themselves in front of 41 year old husband who when he opened the door was covered in blood, while his 39-year-old wife was found dead in their bedroom.

According to a police announcement, the 41-year-old man was arrested and confessed to his act.

The husband was charged with manslaughter, domestic violence and weapons violations.

Of particular concern is the fact that the couple’s two minor children, aged 10 and 6, were inside the house.

The children were transferred to the Pediatric Clinic of the Kalamata Hospital, where they are provided with the necessary care and psychological support.

The perpetrator of the murder throws them at the 39-year-old

According to police sources, the self-confessed perpetrator of the brutal killer allegedly claimed during his testimony that he suspected that his 39-year-old wife was having an extramarital affair, but it has not been proven that this was true.

At the same time, he presented his own version of the circumstances of the crime, blaming the victim for the brutal murder.

Specifically, he claimed he woke up to find her standing over his head holding a knife. As he reported, a struggle ensued between them, during which he managed to wrest the knife from her and then killed her.
