    17 billion euros, the market value of 48 teams in the World Cup…

    The market value of the 48 teams participating in the 2026 World Cup finals reached more than 17.27 billion euros, according to the German “Transfer Markt” website specializing in player transfers and their market values, according to what was reported by the “Al-Eqtisadiah” website.

    The French national football team topped the list of teams with the highest market value in the World Cup, with 1.48 billion euros. While the Old Continent imposed its dominance on the list with a percentage of 34.91% of the total market value of the tournament, amounting to 6.03 billion euros.

    Today, FIFA announced the list of teams, with the World Cup finals starting next June 11, and the opening match being held at the historic Azteca Stadium in the Mexican capital, Mexico City.

    The list of the five most expensive teams in the world included France (1.48 billion euros), England in second place (1.31 billion euros), Spain (1.27 billion euros), Germany (998 million euros), and Portugal (972 million euros), while the market value of the tournament reached.

    The ninth group was crowned the most expensive group in the World Cup, which includes the teams of France, Norway, Senegal, and Iraq, with a value of 2.57 billion euros, representing 14.87% of the total value of the tournament.

    The first group was the smallest among the groups, which includes the teams of Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, and the Czech Republic, with a value of 508.93 million euros, representing 2.95% of the total value of the tournament, while the market value of the eighth group, which includes the national team alongside the teams of Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde, was 1.73 billion euros, representing 10.01% of the total value of the tournament.

    The market value of the 7 Arab teams on the list amounted to 1.9 billion euros, representing 5.84% of the total total of the tournament.

    The Arab list was topped by Morocco (484.2 million euros), Algeria (226.8 million euros), Egypt (135.4 million euros), Tunisia (69.2 million euros), Saudi Arabia in 44th place with a market value of (31.2 million euros), Iraq (23.9 million euros), Qatar (20.4 million euros), and finally Jordan (18.3 million euros).

    The list revealed that the teams with the lowest market value in the World Cup are: Jordan, Qatar, Iraq, Curacao, and Saudi Arabia, with a combined total market value of 120.01 million euros, together representing only 0.69% of the total value of the tournament.

    The market value of the French national team alone (1.48 billion euros) was 12.33 times the total market value of the five lowest-ranking teams in the tournament combined.

    At the level of players, the list of players with the most expensive market value saw 3 reach the highest ceiling, namely: Norwegian Erling Haaland, Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, and Spaniard Lamine Yamal. The value of each player reached 200 million euros, and behind them came the Brazilian Vinicius Junior and the Frenchman Michael Olise, and the value of each player was 150 million euros.

    The list revealed the average market value of one player for some of the least valuable teams in the financial ranking, as the average value of one player in the Jordanian national team reached 612 thousand euros, Iraq 724 thousand euros, Qatar 731 thousand euros, Curacao one million euros, and Iran 1.18 million euros, while the average value of one player in the Saudi national team reached 1.30 million euros.
