Also in the team are two athletes from the San Marino community of Grenoble
The “European Challenge of Small States” took place at the Louis II stadium in the principality of Monaco. The San Marino delegation participated in the competition in a serene convivial atmosphere led by a solid group with attentive management and close to the athletes
In the delegation there were also two athletes resident in the San Marino community of Grenoble: Avril Soulignac-Bare et Soumille pearls.
Perle Soumille, for her first participation with the white and blue jerseys, competed mainly in the long jump. With a jump validated at 4.91 meters she became the holder of the San Marino national record in her category (cadets).
Avril Soulignac had already participated in international meetings including the 2025 Balkan championship and had broken the 60 meter hurdles record this winter, taking part in an inter-provincial competition in Lyon. In Monaco he won the B final (unfortunately due to a mistake on an obstacle he was unable to qualify for the A final), but he improved his personal best by 63″ and 46 hundredths.
The 2 athletes participated together with Sofia Bucci and Rebecca Guidi in the Swedish relay (100-200-300-400 metres).
The quartet improved the new national record in 2′ 19″ and 55.
The 3 medals obtained by the delegation were those of Sansovini Francesco: gold medal in the 100 meters; Alessandra Gasparelli: gold medal in the 100 meters; Alessandra Gasparelli: silver medal in the 200 meters.
The athletes’ staff featured Dan Mitirica; Massimo Piovaticci; Simone Savoretti; Davide Molinari; Marcello Carattoni.
