Slovak readers and viewers perceive her primarily as the daughter of famous parents, but Hana Lasicová is mainly a successful writer and screenwriter. She recently surprised with news from her private life, which she shared on Jan Kraus’ talk show.

Screenwriter Hana Lasicová was a guest of the show Ide o nas.
Lasicová, for example, signed under the name of the novel The Maid, as a guest on the red couch, did not avoid several questions “about the body”. She surprised many when she spoke about her privacy and her relationship with partner James Michael Foulston. They have been a couple for several years and maintain a long-distance relationship. Not only that – they are even in a registered partnership.
As Hana revealed, they got married in Australia, where James lives most of the year. “There is no concept of a registered partnership in Slovakia, but there is in Australia. And there I am in a registered partnership, but a heterosexual one,” Lasicová surprised the moderator and the audience.

The screenwriter of hits such as Oteckovia or Nemocnica did not avoid questions about the functioning of the relationship between two people living thousands of kilometers apart. “Thank God he’s in Australia,” she said with characteristic humor. “When we meet, it’s beautiful. Sometimes it’s for a few months, sometimes for a few weeks. And in the period when we’re not together, for example, I don’t have to shave,” she amused the audience.
Hana Lasicová is currently preparing a new film with director Jonáš Karáská. Last year, in the show Interviews with Zden Gáfrik, she let the viewers see not only her screenwriting work, but also her memories of her father, Milan Lasica. You can see more in the episode that was made last summer.
