Dominica has recorded an impressive 15 percent increase in total visitor arrivals, reaching nearly 497,000 visitors last year.
This was according to Tourism Minister Denise Charles-Pemberton during a recent statement.
“As of March 31, 2026, stayover arrivals increased by an estimated 10 percent over the same period last year,” she said. “Cruise tourism is also growing steadily with a 21 percent increase over the same period last year.”
Furthermore, Charles Pemberton stated that Dominica is moving forward with confidence.
“Across the island, we continue investing in the tourism product and improving visitor experiences,” she emphasized.
Charles-Pemberton added went on to add that works are progressing well at Champagne Beach and the Kalinago Barana Aute, while upgrades are being planned for Titou Gorge, Trafalgar Falls, Morne Bruce, and Mero Beach.
“I am also pleased to announce that grand funding has been secured for upgrades at Cabrits National Park and the India River,” she revealed.
She continued, “Major projects such as the Cable Car Development, the Portsmouth Marina, and the International Airport will create new opportunities for communities and strengthen our tourism sector even further.”
