Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the wreckage of drones has been found on the territory of Romania 47 times.
As “European Truth” reports, this is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Romania, extracts from which Digi 24.
According to the Romanian agency, since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 90 shellings have been recorded on the territory of Ukraine near the border with Romania.
“In 28 cases, the penetration of Russian drones into national airspace was reported (the last one was on May 29). In 47 cases, fragments of drones were found on the territory of Romania,” the statement said.
This year alone, 32 attacks were recorded near the border, in 23 cases aircraft were taken into the air, 15 times unauthorized penetration of drones into the national space was recorded, and in 12 cases fragments of drones were found on the territory of Romania.
So far, Romania has not reported the downing of at least one Russian drone in its airspace.
On the night of May 29, during the Russian attack on Ukraine, drone crashed into a 10-story building in Romania in the city of Galats, two people were hospitalized.
At night On May 19, an air strike was announced in Romania alarm in the areas near the border with Ukraine and raised aviation in connection with the next Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports on the Danube.
