How did the 42-year-old from Kosovo become the head of SHISH?
Before assuming the position in Albania, Hyseni worked in the intelligence of Kosovo, a career that started in 2010, while in 2019 he was appointed as the number two of this agency and a year later he served as the acting director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, a position he held until April 2021, at which time he was dismissed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the president of that agency. time, Vjosa Osmani.
He continued his interrupted career in Prishtina in Tirana, where Edi Rama took him to his government cabinet, as an advisor to the Prime Minister for National Security for two years.
Until now, she had not fallen prey to politics in the Albanian capital, but her name was mentioned when Rama decided, on March 17, to propose her as head of the Albanian Information Service, with the argument that the integrity she enjoys in the international community was a guarantee for this institution of national security.
Contrary to Rama’s optimism, the opposition was skeptical, asking President Begaj not to decree without receiving information in Kosovo about why Albin Kurti had dismissed him.
But these voices did not go to the ears of President Bajram Begaj, who decreed Vlora Hysen as the leader of SHISH on April 3, 2023.
But still to this day, the reason why Vlora Hyseni was dismissed in Kosovo is not publicly known.
