The Government of the People’s Republic of China, in collaboration with the Government of Grenada, invites Grenadian nationals to apply for the MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Programme.
This scholarship programme is for studying for a Master’s or Doctoral (PhD) programme in Chinese universities during the academic year 2026. The MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Programme is set up by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China to further strengthen the communication and cooperation between China and other countries, as well as to develop talents for developing countries.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO APPLICANTS:
- This announcement represents a second, separate call, which will follow a different application timeline and process
- Applicants who have already submitted applications under the first call are not required to reapply
- Applicants are encouraged to carefully review all instructions to ensure submission under the appropriate call
Eligibility
All applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Grenada
- Be 45 years old and under (born after 1 September 1981)
- Be physically and mentally healthy, with a medical report from a public hospital
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree + minimum 3 years of work experience (for Master’s applicants) and a Master’s degree (for PhD applicants)
- Be currently employed and preferably a government official (division level or above), senior management in organisations or enterprises, academic staff in universities or research institutions
- Have sufficient English proficiency
- Not currently studying in China or receiving another Chinese government scholarship

Scholarship Coverage:
- Students are exempt from tuition fees, teaching material fees, research and survey fees, allowance for English-taught programmes, dissertation guidance fees
- Free on-campus accommodation
- Monthly stipend of 36,000 RMB per year for master’s students, and 42,000 RMB per year for PhD students (paid monthly based on actual time spent in China)
- One-off resettlement fee of 3,000 RMB per person
- Free medical insurance for international students
- Travel support: One-time round-trip international airfare (arrival and return after graduation); Up to one additional round-trip airfare for annual home visits (once per year)
- Annual review requirement: Continued funding depends on passing the review each year

HOW TO APPLY:
Step 1: Visit “CSC Study in China” website and click “Scholarship Application for Students” at http://www.campuschina.org
Register an account through [CREATE AN ACCOUNT] and log in with your account.
Step 2: Input Personal Details – Click “Edit Personal Details” and finish inputting personal details by filling in all the information, verifying and saving the information. After the completion of this section, return to the previous page by clicking “Finish” and start filling in your application information.
Step 3: Select the correct “Programme Category”.
Please select Programme Category “Type A” (Only for applicants of MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Programme).
Step 4: Input the correct Agency Number.
Your Agency Number is: 00010 (Only for applicants of MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Programme)
Programme Category and Agency Number are directly matched; both are mandatory for online application. Scholarship receiving authorities (or application processing authorities) will inform the programme category and agency number to candidates who are qualified to apply.
After inputting the agency number, the matched agency name will automatically be shown on the page. As Programme Category and Agency Number are directly matched, application processing authorities will not receive your online application if the programme category or agency number is incorrect.
Step 5: Input Application Information
Next, please move on to the section of “Language Proficiency and Study Plan” and upload “Supporting Documents” as requested, then click “Submit” to complete the application. Check each part of your application carefully before submission. Please make sure that all the information and uploaded documents are valid and accurate.
When applicants of the “Type A” application choose the “Preferences of Institutes”, the system will automatically match the available universities according to the selected “Student Category, Preferred Teaching Language and Major Applying For.” For any inquiries concerning the majors available at each university, please visit this website.
“Catalogue of Discipline Field, First-level Discipline, and Speciality” is available from the “Help”. Applicants can download the file to identify the relationship between Discipline and Major.
Step 6: Once submitted, amendments cannot be made to “Personal Details” and “Application Information”. Before the application is processed by the processing authorities, an applicant can revoke the submitted application by clicking “Withdraw” and edit the application. After revoking it, the applicant must submit it a second time after re-editing, or it will not be processed. Once the application is processed, it cannot be revoked.
Step 7: Click “Print the Application Form” and download the form.
Please use Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers. For applicants using Internet Explorer, please close the “compatible view mode” function ahead of editing.
Step 8: Submit the scholarship application under the requirements of the dispatching authorities.
The China Scholarship Council never entrusts any individual or intermediary agent to process Chinese Government scholarship applications. All applicants are kindly reminded to directly submit your scholarship applications through official dispatching authorities, avoiding being deceived. This website is the only official website that the China Scholarship Council uses to publish Study in China information. Please do not trust information from any other portals or sources.
Applicants MUST print ALL application documents and submit 3 copies of each of the following to the Human Resource Development Division, at the Ministry of Education:
- Application Form for MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Programme; Ensure you have submitted it online (visit www.campuschina.org)
- Certified copy of passport biodata (front) page. The passport must not have expired.
- Three (3) passport-size photographs
- Certified copies of the highest diploma
- Certified copy of academic transcripts
- A study plan or research proposal
- A curriculum vitae
- Two (2) recommendation letters, including one from a current employer and one from an academic perspective.
- An applicant who is applying to study in China for more than six months shall submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant will be deemed invalid. - Submit a valid Police Certificate of Non-Criminal Record, usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application
