The Ministry of Labor said 11,172 expatriate workers were booked for various types of violations from 6,707 inspection visits in the first half of 2026, while the compliance rate was around 69.5 percent.
The Ministry said 4,680 cases were referred to the Public Prosecution, as part of its efforts to regulate the labor market and monitor compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
The number of deported workers was 2,944, while 272 job opportunities were recorded in accordance with the reconciliation decision.
These inspections are part of the Ministry of Labor’s efforts to enhance the regulation of the labor market, ensure the rights of its parties, and raise compliance levels in private sector establishments.
The Ministry also warned business owners of the necessity to comply with the (Noon Work Stoppage Policy) at construction sites and exposed places with high temperatures, during the upcoming three months (June, July, August) from (12:30 PM to 3:30 PM).
