Qveria Rama is preparing a legal package, with harsh measures, thus responding to the outbreak of violence and destruction in Tirana, a scenario behind which the ruling party accuses the opposition, secret circles, foreign hands and organized crime. The package of measures against vandalism and hooliganism was presented today by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who said that the perpetrators have no chance of achieving their goal and dictating ‘the rotten salad of a matufi’, referring to Berisha.
“After intensive work with European experts and coordination with French and Italian partners, and relying on the model adapted by them to the same anti-democratic flag, we have ready the legal package against violence and urban anarchy”, said Rama.
Package of measures
1. A fine of up to 5,000 euros for participants in violent gatherings who do not leave after being warned by the police.
2. Hiding one’s identity (face) in protest will be considered a criminal offense and will be provided for in the Criminal Code.
3. Publishing the address of police officers and other persons to put them in danger will be provided as a criminal offense in the Criminal Code.
4. For minors involved in acts of violence, the fine will be charged to their parents.
