The Swedish superstar is working as an expert for the Fox television channel during the World Cup. Since the championship started last week, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has frequently been seen during the broadcasts.
But when it was time for Sweden’s premiere match, “Ibra” was free – the 44-year-old instead appeared at the UFC gala hosted by President Donald Trump at the White House.
“Let’s hope for a fierce fight,” the Swede said in a clip published on social media.
The Swedish players were asked about it after the defeat to Tunisia:
“I think he should have prioritized our match instead,” Jesper Karlström said.
The gala was part of Donald Trump’s 80th birthday celebration.
