A wounding case against a 20-year-old man will continue in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on January 15 next year.
Dashon Jamar Edward Oxley of 1st Avenue Holders Land, Brandons, St Michael, denied before acting Magistrate Shakieda Sealy to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Hayln Scantlebury on September 18.
There was no objection to bail from Sergeant Verdon Forde who asked the court to place conditions on the accused as he and the complainant appeared to have been in a relationship. “If he has a home he stays at his, and she stays at hers, and stay away from her including on social media,” the police prosecutor stressed.
The magistrate granted Oxley bail in the sum of $5 000 which he secured with one surety.
Oxley, who is represented by attorney-at-law Tyra Trotman MP, was warned to stay away from Scantlebury, who was also urged “don’t communicate” with him.
