Since yesterday, María Claudia Tarazona, widow of the murdered presidential candidate and senator Miguel Uribe Turbay has been providing information according to which the order for his assassination came from the Congress of the Republic.
Tarazona assured that the Prosecutor’s Office has been interrogating senior leaders of the ‘Second Marquetalia’, as well as aliases Araña, the recently extradited head of the ‘Border Commandos’, to provide information on the coordination and financing of the crime that occurred on June 7, 2025 in El Golfito park in Bogotá.

In an interview with colleague Blu Radio, Tarazona read a series of chats that were sent to him and that are already in the possession of the authorities in which a former congressman from the Comunes party is directly accused of having ordered the crime.
“Marcos Calarcá is organizing eight bandits called Commandos to carry out the attack. A very faithful source, very close to them, told me this. I believe him 100 percent. That’s why I have tried to communicate with you, but it has been impossible. You tell me that the order came from the Senate, the source is inside there, which communicates with me.”says one of the chats read by Tarazona.
As EL TIEMPO published in the scoop on Wednesday afternoon, the Comunes party came out to deny the allegations.
But that statement was not the only information provided by Tarazona.
In fact, the widow of Miguel Uribe Turbay assured that the Prosecutor’s Office conducted two key interviews in the month of September to Geovany Andrés Rojas, alias Araña, extradited to the United States on September 25, already alias Águila, leader of the ‘Segunda Marquetalia’.
According to the woman, during the interrogation the Prosecutor’s Office asked ‘Araña’ about the coordination, financing and planning of the assassination of Miguel Uribe.

In dialogue with EL TIEMPO, Olga Lucía Ochoa, alias Araña’s lawyer, assured that she was unaware of the information provided by Tarazona about the alleged interrogation.
“I do not know if my client was questioned about this case. In the last hearing, on September 11 of this year, in which he was accused of several crimes, the subject was not discussed”assured the lawyer.
In that procedure, the Prosecutor’s Office charged ‘Araña’ with the crimes of conspiracy, homicide and illegal possession of weapons, and he was sent to prison.
And, according to Tarazona, the other person questioned was alias Águila, one of the trusted people of ‘Zarco Aldinever’, leader of the ‘Segunda Marquetalia’ and noted coordinator. of the plan to assassinate the political leader.
The Prosecutor’s Office is already investigating the allegations.
