The spring gathering in Inatsisartut starts on Tuesday 14 April 2026 at 10.00 and is planned to last until 18 June 2026, the presidency of Inatsisartut informs in a press release.
There will with a guarantee pay extra attention to Inatsisartut’s first meeting day at the Spring Meeting, as several new Naalakkersuisut members are expected to have to be approved.
In addition, there is the question of who will sit in the chairman’s chair after Kim Kielsen has resigned from Siumut.
Four posts remain vacant after Vivian Motzfeldt, Naaja Nathanielsen, Bentiaraq Ottosen and Mads Pedersens have left the government offices.
The chairmanship states that, overall, it is planned that 147 items must be dealt with at the meeting, which will cause extra busyness for the country’s politicians.
– A total of 48 new items from the members of Inatsisartut and 33 new items from Naalakkersuisut have been included on the agenda. In addition, deferred 66 items from EM2025 will be dealt with during this meeting.
Spring collection 2026
- The spring assembly 2026 starts on Tuesday 14 April at 10:00 a.m
- There will be meetings in the hall 3 days a week – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – in the time period at 10.00 – 16.00
- There will be committee meeting days on Mondays and Fridays. In weeks 19 and 22 there will only be 2 meeting days
- 2-3 Wednesday question hours are held from 10.00 – 11.00, after which the meeting in the hall continues and the first question hour will be on 22 April (The order of Naalakkersuisut for the question hours will appear on Inatsisartut’s website and will be updated as necessary)
- For the time being, the last meeting day at FM26 will be June 18.
