The Ministry of Health has no initiative to revise the premium for universal health insurance in 2027.

“During the 2027 budget discussions, we will discuss the state subsidy sector, you know that today the state mostly subsidizes insurance premiums. the state pays AMD 129,600 per person per year for persons under 18 years of age, persons aged 65+, and persons with disabilities and social insecurity points. Apart from that, the state also provides a monthly subsidy of 6,000 drams for employees and insurance premium payers,” said Avanesyan.
The minister added that the continuation of this subsidy for 2027 has already been confirmed by medium-term spending plans, but there is still room for discussion in the 2027 budget. Anahit Avanesyan presented the general principle of insurance premium review.
“Every year, the Minister of Health must present the previous year’s work report to the National Assembly and submit the conclusion regarding the next year’s insurance premium, whether it should be revised or not. At the moment, we have no initiative to review the insurance premium for 2027,” the minister noted.
