Through a message published on its official account on X, the military command summarized that capability with the phrase “Versatile, integrated and lethal,” and explained that the sailors of the USS San Antonio and the Marines of Littoral Combat Force-24 represent the joint logistics capabilities of the Navy and Marine Corps as they patrol the Caribbean.
According to the Southern Command itself, This force provides a “vital tactical advantage” by being able to quickly transition from humanitarian aid operations in Venezuela to a combat posture to support missions aimed at dismantling drug cartels. and narcoterrorist networks in the Western Hemisphere.

“Today, the last members of the US Southern Command team departed Venezuela, marking the conclusion of the Department of Defense’s support for earthquake relief efforts on the ground,” expressed the general, who specified that Washington’s commitment to Venezuela will be maintained through the State Department and specialized humanitarian organizations.
“Our State Department partners are working closely with experienced aid organizations to support Venezuela’s long-term recovery and reconstruction.”said the US military official.
